This couple was discovered in an archeological site when the Ancient Roman palace in the Italian town of Mutina was being excavated. Now known as Modena, this town is a gold mine for the anthropologists. When this site was excavated a female and male skeletons were found displaying, even in the grave the most perfect example of eternal love. Their skeletons are laid out in the manner where it is plenty clear that the couple held hands while being buried and they probably were looking in to each others’ eyes since they are still lying in the same manner.
The male’s head seemed to have bobbed off, to which speculation says that the cushion beneath his head must have decomposed causing the head shift, but the woman’s skeleton still shows her facing towards him holding hands in their final moments.
Although not much is known about this couple as of now, but more information is being dug out in order to get a clearer picture of their history. The woman’s bones holds a bronze ring that indicates that they were married.
